We’re a married couple with four children living in Emirates living
For years, our kids have been coming back inside every evening covered in mosquito bites. The pool and garden — spaces meant for family time — became places we avoided.
Like everyone else, we tried sprays, fogging, repellents and gadgets. Nothing worked in a way that felt safe, reliable, or lasting.
What frustrated us most wasn’t just the mosquitoes —

Shane is an award-winning structural engineer with a PhD in Slender Structures and Design from Trinity College Dublin & Technical University of Berlin, and extensive experience across engineering, construction, and operations.
He has designed and delivered complex structures in challenging environments, combining technical rigour with an emphasis on elegant, buildable solutions that perform over their full lifecycle.

Denise Schmitz is an award-winning artist and the owner of We Love Art, named Art Company of the Year, which has inspired the growth of art in Dubai for people to paint and create since 2013.
Frustrated by constant mosquito complaints of mosquito bites at home, Denise brings her artistic eye and design leadership to Mosquito Shield, ensuring every enclosure is elegant, thoughtful, and truly liveable.
